Luxury Northstar Retreat | Walk to Village & Lifts

A quality home in a great location with all the ameninites needed for a comfortable stay! Positive: there was an excellent assortment of dishes and cooking equipment, including napkins and paper towels. The AC was excellent, the hot tob nice and warm , the BBQ was used daily, and the gas fireplace in the outdoor table was great!

The place is lovely and Lori was super nice and very responsive. Loved the convenience of no keys. Northstar is conveniently located between Tahoe and Donner Lake. Downtown Truckee and Kings beach are each only minutes away. Kids had a blast. We did not get a chance to use the hot tub which looked super clean and inviting. Kitchen had everything you could ask for (including paper plates!) but there was no place to put the non-refridgerated food we purchased except on the countertops. All the cupboards were full of more than ample dishes, utensils and pots and pans. The only things preventing a five star review were the washing machine was broken until the day before we left-which is hard with little kids, and there was a lot of traffic noise while using the decks. PERFECTION. This place could not be better. The home itself is lovely—great floor plan, well appointed, worked so well for two families with kids. Was such a treat to be able to walk multiple times daily to the village and to the wonderful rec center. Northstar was perfect place for our children to learn to ski. Close proximity to both Kings Beach and Truckee for anything needed beyond the infrastructure in the village. (Highly recommend Trokay in Truckee!) Our host Lori may be the best host we’ve ever had. So many wonderful recommendations and instant response to everyll little question. Truly above and beyond. We can NOT wait to come back!

Zero issues or problems--everything clear and easy. The house was clean and well stocked for families with a great location. The scenery and weather was fantastic!
